Role modelling
Jesus is a role model for us in loving God with all our heart, soul, strength and mind - by being obeying his law - which now, in the New Testament, is the law of Jesus.

Own accord
As quoted in John 5:15, when Jesus said he does nothing of his own accord it means that he only does things in-line with the purpose and tasks that God the Father has commanded him to do. I.e. heal the blind, release the captives free, live without sinning and so on.

The law of the LORD = Jesus law
Our understanding of psalms - i.e psalm 1 `I delight on the law of the LORD and meditate on it...` - can now be transformed to be effectively ''my words/paraphrase:'' `I delight in the law of Jesus and meditate on his teachings`.

Jesus teachings = God the Father`s teachings
Brilliant. Never recognised this. I often refer to Jesus teachings and think of them as originating from the person of Jesus, but Jesus was a messenger of God the Father. Makes me want to put more time into looking into the Father hood of God. I shall probably do this after I`ve focussed on Jesus a little bit longer.

Power of words
2000 years ago, it was much easier to go to jail by saying the wrong things. Words were regarded as being more powerful that our current regard. But Jesus shows an even larger regard to what words could be. His words. Which were words from God. Are equal to eternal life!!!!!

Is it fair to say that Jesus was a messenger from God? (Messiah looks like it originates from the word message. Thought Messiah is often referred to as deliverer.)

Gods children
When I was younger I thought that I was so very special. Now I am older I meditate more on Jesus' truth and spirit. I sometimes find myself judging myself or Jesus' words. Then I realise it's no use being judgemental. God has healed me through love by my faith. I then see that I should dive into the depths of Jesus' love.

Jesus said to them, "Truly, truly, I say to you, the Son can do nothing of his own accord, but only what he sees the Father doing; for whatever he does, that the Son does likewise." ( John 5:19)

"For I have come down from heaven, not to do my own will, but the will of him who sent me." ( John 6:38)

So Jesus answered them, "My teaching is not mine, but his who sent me." ( John 7:16)

So Jesus said, "When you have lifted up the Son of man, then you will know that I am he, and I do nothing on my own authority but speak thus as the Father taught me. And he who sent me is with me; he has not left me alone, for I always do what is pleasing to Him." ( John 8:28-29)

"For I have not spoken on my own authority; the Father who sent me has himself given me commandment what to say and what to speak. And I know that his commandment is eternal life. What I say, therefore, I say as the Father has bidden me." ( John 12:49-50)
