Many Samaritans Believe
John 4:39-42 39 Many of the Samaritans from that town believed in him because of the woman’s testimony, “He told me everything I ever did.” 40 So when the Samaritans came to him, they urged him to stay with them, and he stayed two days. 41 And because of his words many more became believers.

42 They said to the woman, “We no longer believe just because of what you said; now we have heard for ourselves, and we know that this man really is the Savior of the world.”

Why do you think the Samaritans called Jesus the Savior of the world?
They beleive the woman who believed in him as he had told her everything about her like with Nathaenel. Although they don`t admit that having needed as a counterproof to speak to Jesus himself. So from what they say we know that he proclaimed himself to be the savior. They believed when they heard him speaking. But again John tells us that it is a woman like Mary at Cana who spurs them to open their doors to him. What do you think about it? what does it tell you?

Why do you think the Samaritans called Jesus the Savior of the world?
Because of seeing and hearing of our Lord, the testimony of the woman was abudantly confirmed. They called Jesus the savior of the world - The promised Messiah. Not only for the Jews, but of the Samaritans, and of the whole Gentile world.

Many Samaritans Believe

From that city many of the Samaritans believed in him because of the word of the woman, who testified, "He told me everything that I did." So when the Samaritans came to him, they begged him to stay with them. He stayed there two days. Many more believed because of his word. They said to the woman, "Now we believe, not because of your speaking; for we have heard for ourselves, and know that this is indeed the Christ, the Savior of the world."
