THE TEMPLE.........................A DEN OF ROBBERS

Is it not wonderful that what Jesus identified in those years are still happening around us. Most of us use christianity to dupe and cheat people while asking forgiveness from God.

We must all search ourselves for the Bible says that 'all has sinned and come short of the glory og God'.

The Temple
Jesus was absolutely right to remove the thieves and robbers from His Temple.  A Temple is as Jesus states it.  A place for prayer.  We must all remember that our bodies are temples, and need time for prayer and praise for Jesus and God and the Holy Ghost!!!  Amen!!!  God bless everyone who believes!!!!!!!!

Jesus was angered by religious people inappropriately taking people`s money (robber`s den). Why did Jesus take such dramatic action and not just condemn with words?

Jesus Clears the Temple
Jesus was angry with religious people because they allowed the temples` court to become a smelly, noisy market place. The jewish religious leaders were interfering with God`s provision . Not only because they took financial advantage of the people but because they robbed the temple of its sancitity

Jesus clears the Temple
Jesus saw that the Jerusalem Temple was used like a market place. Jesus angered on the religious people, because they were not kept the Temple holy. The temple was captured by the buyers, sellers, money exchangers etc. Jesus taught us that the Temple of God will be called a house of prayer for all the nations. The dramatic action performed by Jesus is showing us how much importance He is giving to the Temple of God.

Jesus Clears the Temple

The next day, when they had come out from Bethany, he was hungry. Seeing a fig tree afar off having leaves, he came to see if perhaps he might find anything on it. When he came to it, he found nothing but leaves, for it was not the season for figs. Jesus told it, "May no one ever eat fruit from you again!" and his disciples heard it.
They came to Jerusalem, and Jesus entered into the temple, and began to throw out those who sold and those who bought in the temple, and overthrew the tables of the money changers, and the seats of those who sold the doves. He would not allow anyone to carry a container through the temple. He taught, saying to them, "Isn't it written, 'My house will be called a house of prayer for all the nations?' But you have made it a den of robbers!"
The chief priests and the scribes heard it, and sought how they might destroy him. For they feared him, because all the multitude was astonished at his teaching.
When evening came, he went out of the city.
