The religious leaders assembled a court to judge Jesus. Jesus answered only one charge made against him, and also gave evidence to prove the charge. What was the charge and for what was Jesus determined guilty?

The BLESSED is the omnipresent - The Living God of highest in heaven. For a human being (as perceived by the Jews) like Jesus to say He is the son of Blessed, is against the law of Moses which the Jews believed in. Therefore, they proved Him guilty of professing Himself to be equal to God. By: Fasakin Adebayo Joseph - September 02, 2007 - Public Category: Before the Sanhedrin

Jesus was charged of blasphemy and they found Him guilty of it when a high priest asked Him if He's the Christ the son of the blessed. By: reybeth - September 01, 2007 - Public Category: Before the Sanhedrin

The charge was that he claimed to be the son of God, the Messiah and Jesus accepted that he is, this is what the sanhedrin accused him of blasphemy. By: Bol Joseph Agau - September 01, 2007 - Public Category: Before the Sanhedrin

Hello dear friends, The claims Jesus was charged of,was calling him self the son God. This annoyed these people b'se most of them knew where he was born phyisically and knew his mother and father and his relatives so whenever he could try to tell them that am really the true son of God They couldn't believe him and on top of that they were scared about the miracles Jesus used to perform in their presence perhaps they thought that may be he wants to be the King of the Jews. They led Jesus away to the high priest. All the chief priests, the elders, and the scribes came together with him.
Peter had followed him from a distance, until he came into the court of the high priest. He was sitting with the officers, and warming himself in the light of the fire. Now the chief priests and the whole council sought witnesses against Jesus to put him to death, and found none. For many gave false testimony against him, and their testimony didn't agree with each other. Some stood up, and gave false testimony against him, saying, "We heard him say, 'I will destroy this temple that is made with hands, and in three days I will build another made without hands.'" Even so, their testimony did not agree.
The high priest stood up in the midst, and asked Jesus, "Have you no answer? What is it which these testify against you?" But he stayed quiet, and answered nothing. Again the high priest asked him, "Are you the Christ, the Son of the Blessed?"
Jesus said, "I AM. You will see the Son of Man sitting at the right hand of Power, and coming with the clouds of the sky." The high priest tore his clothes, and said, "What further need have we of witnesses? You have heard the blasphemy! What do you think?" They all condemned him to be worthy of death. Some began to spit on him, and to cover his face, and to beat him with fists, and to tell him, "Prophesy!" The officers struck him with the palms of their hands.
