Healing others
Jesus came to heal everybody with any kind of disease or possession. He healed Simon`s mother-in-law so that is where he got the motivation to do it for everybody in the town.

Goodmorning! He did this so that the people could see the wonders! He hoped that the people now believed that He was there savior and the real son of God. His motivation was also to bring the people back to the real father.

Jesus` Authority over diseases and demons
In this lesson we can see that Jesus healed many people including Simon`s wife`s mother. Jesus showing His authority over the sin, diseases and demons. In short, Jesus` authority and compassion towards the people motivated Him to heal others.

Whether God`s people have the authority to heal others or not?
Before Jesus ascends to heaven, He had givven a great commission to His disciples. ``Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature``. Again He said that those who believe in Him will do signs and miracles. They will cast out demons; they will lay hands on the sick and they will recover etc. Definetely, Jesus Christ has given authority to His people over sickness and demons, in His mighty name.

Jesus is a loving God, His purpose of His coming is to give life both spiritual and physical. With His stripes we are healed. So then if we will come to Him, He will heal us because of His great compassion.

Jesus being merciful and passionate, heals the sick. Jesus came into this world to die as a human beings also experienced pains and sufferings like we do so he knew what our sufferrings are like. It motivated him to heal us.

Immediately, when they had come out of the synagogue, they came into the house of Simon and Andrew, with James and John. Now Simon's wife's mother lay sick with a fever, and immediately they told him about her. He came and took her by the hand, and raised her up. The fever left her, and she served them. At evening, when the sun had set, they brought to him all who were sick, and those who were possessed by demons. All the city was gathered together at the door. He healed many who were sick with various diseases, and cast out many demons. He didn't allow the demons to speak, because they knew him.
