What is compassion, and do you possess it?
Compassion is defined as a deep awareness of the suffering of another and the wish to relieve that suffering. I believe a compassionate nature is a gift from God and I am blessed.

Compassion
``If you WANT to, you can make me clean.`` - moved with compassion, he stretched out his hand, and touched him, and said to him, ``I WANT to. Be made clean.`` Compassion means feeling for - cum patere - sharing in the feelings of somebody. And willing to offer the help that that person needs. So many times we read in the Gospels that Jesus is moved by compassion and acts accordingly. For example when he is looking for solitude and he is followed by the crowds he stops and lends a healing hand. Definetely growing as a Christian has helped me growing in compassion something that I had but that i risked losing not having had a Catholic background. It`s having attentive eyes and ears for the world outside and a ready hand. Plus the same attentiveness in listening and following God`s guidance through an attentive reading of the whole Scriptures and following the guidance of the Church. I`m cultivating it.

Compassion
Compassion means sympathetic pity and concern for the sufferings of others. Being a christian, we must possess compassion. Jesus showed compassion to a large number of needy people. In our society, many people want this compassion. We have to pray for them, we have to care them, we have to visit them, we have to console them and we have to support & help them. If we have Christ in our heart, all these are possible.

A Man With Leprosy
Compassion is a sense of shared suffering, most often combined with a desire to alleviate or reduce such suffering; to show special kindness to those who suffer. Thus compassion is essentially empathy, though with a more active slant in that the compassionate person will seek to actually aid those they feel compassionate for. It is also known as Acts of kindness which seek primarily to confer benefit rather than relieve existing suffering are better classified as acts of altruism, although, in this sense, compassion itself can be seen as a subset of altruism, it being defined as the type of behavior which seeks to benefit others by reducing their suffering. I have it.

A Man With Leprosy

A leper came to him, begging him, kneeling down to him, and saying to him, "If you want to, you can make me clean."
Being moved with compassion, he stretched out his hand, and touched him, and said to him, "I want to. Be made clean." When he had said this, immediately the leprosy departed from him, and he was made clean. He strictly warned him, and immediately sent him out, and said to him, "See you say nothing to anybody, but go show yourself to the priest, and offer for your cleansing the things which Moses commanded, for a testimony to them."
But he went out, and began to proclaim it much, and to spread about the matter, so that Jesus could no more openly enter into a city, but was outside in desert places: and they came to him from everywhere.
