FAITH AS LITTLE AS A MUSTARD SEED

This parable teaches us what faith can do. Many a times we tend to question our faith by fretting about what to eat or drink or wear. We must learn to hand over all our worries to God. He will surely provide for us.

The disciples have not learnt anything about faith or they simply do not beleive in it. That was why they questioned Jesus when He asked them to feed the congregation.

The question for us all today is .....How much faith do we have.

Why did Jesus challenge the disciples to give them (5000 people) something to eat before multiplying the food?
Because Jesus wanted to see their faith in him and Jesus wanted to make it clear that nothing is impossible to God.

Why did Jesus challenge the disciples to give them (5000 people) something to eat before multiplying the food?
Jesus wanted to wanted to show the people that God would provide their needs, he also wanted to test the apostles faith to see how strong it was. So by doing this he was able to provide for the 5000 people. Today God test our faith and many times we worrry about things that we should not, he promised never to forsake us if we only believe all things are possible.

Why did Jesus challenge the disciples to give them (5000 people) something to eat before multiplying the food?
Because he was testing their faith and to see how them would respond to his command. The disciples could only see what was in natural eye and not knowing the power of GOD. When Jesus prayed to have the five loaves of bread and two fish blessed. God multiplied the food to feed the five thousand people and had more than enough for left overs. Amen!

Why did Jesus challenge the disciples to give them (5000 people) something to eat before multiplying the food?
Jesus wanted to see how far the disciples will go to take care of the sheep ''feed my sheep is perhaps a useful application, although not in its real sense'' with the resources they had. The disciples questioned whether to use what they had to feed the poor instead of just doin it. We are not very different today because we too seek to first satisfy the natural man.

Jesus Feeds the Five Thousand

The apostles gathered themselves together to Jesus, and they told him all things, whatever they had done, and whatever they had taught. He said to them, "You come apart into a deserted place, and rest awhile." For there were many coming and going, and they had no leisure so much as to eat. They went away in the boat to a deserted place by themselves. They saw them going, and many recognized him and ran there on foot from all the cities. They arrived before them and came together to him. Jesus came out, saw a great multitude, and he had compassion on them, because they were like sheep without a shepherd, and he began to teach them many things. When it was late in the day, his disciples came to him, and said, "This place is deserted, and it is late in the day. Send them away, that they may go into the surrounding country and villages, and buy themselves bread, for they have nothing to eat."
But he answered them, "You give them something to eat."
They asked him, "Shall we go and buy two hundred denarii worth of bread, and give them something to eat?"
He said to them, "How many loaves do you have? Go see."
When they knew, they said, "Five, and two fish."
He commanded them that everyone should sit down in groups on the green grass. They sat down in ranks, by hundreds and by fifties. He took the five loaves and the two fish, and looking up to heaven, he blessed and broke the loaves, and he gave to his disciples to set before them, and he divided the two fish among them all. They all ate, and were filled. They took up twelve baskets full of broken pieces and also of the fish. Those who ate the loaves were five thousand men.
