Learning our positions in the tree of Life
Jesus stated it succinctly, in that greed and pride are values that have no place in Heaven and Earth.  Honouring everyone before yourself is a goal we must all strive for.

Who is Greatest

This is an easy one.  Who else in the history of mankind brought glory, peace, love and kindness, and took all our sins on his shoulders with no comment?

How does Jesus define greatness, and is caring for a little child an example of greatness?
Humbleness...the smaller you make yourself in humble trustuing obeyance, the greater you are to the eyes of God. Resembling his utterly humble son. The Son of God obeys for love of us to die on that cross.Utterly vulnerable raises hios hands like a small suffering baby to the father waiting to be lifted up. A painting by Perugino ''?'' seen once at the National gallery, non permanetn exhibition, comes to mind. Jesus on the cross the Father above him gently holding his arms and lifting him up.

Does Jesus believe lowly people are valuable? How valuable?
Whoever receives one such little child in my name, receives me, and whoever receives me, doesn`t receive me, but him who sent me.mark 9:37.if we understand this verse we will understand the value of everyone of god`s children to him.although he said this about the children who were surrounding him i think this applies to everyone of us be they rich or poor , for he telling us in this verse that if we recieve this child in his name then eventually will end up recieving him who sent jesus .he also tells us that in order to be the first''first into the kingdom of god, first in the eyes of god''he should also be the last and a servant to all, thus jesus is asking us to love and befriend those whom we think are lowly....for these are valuable people for god to the extent which it will lead you to jesus and eventually to the kingdom of god and to our salvation.there are many other verses in the bible where we are told to love eache other and not differenciate according to social differences etc but i think the most important example is the fact that God the word became flesh to dwell among us we who are all lowly compared to him and was willing to die for us , thus his compassion was not just a lesson he was teaching us but an actual fact and an act performed by him for us, as is his love and befriending when he was willing to become flesh and show himself to us, and also offer his blood for our salvation.i dont think we need more than this for us to understand the importance of the human beings i.e his creation, and the the value of each one starting with the lowly.

Jesus define greatness if any man wants to be first, he shall be last of all this means a leader with humbleness character, a person or a big brother caring his little brothers and a captain serving his crews in time of troubles. The example of greatness mentioned by jesus whoever recieves one such little child in my name recieves me this means the child is not comited any sins they do not know what is right and wrong still pasture by milk and perfect innocence, so if we deserves to received the good characters we receive the eternal life.

Who is Greatest
Greatness in the Kingdom of heaven is different from the kingdom of this world. ``If any man wants to be first, he shall be last of all, and servant of all`` It means humbleness of oneself. Especially as a distinctive qualities of a little child same is the greatest in the Kingdom of Heaven.

Who is Greatest?
Those who surrender themselves before Jesus like a little child, shall receive Jesus and those who receive Jesus, shall receive the Father, the God. Jesus said that if any man wants to be first, he shall be last of all and servant of all. We should be humble like Jesus. We should honour others also.

Who is Greatest?

He came to Capernaum, and when he was in the house he asked them, "What were you arguing among yourselves on the way?"
But they were silent, for they had disputed one with another on the way about who was the greatest.
He sat down, and called the twelve; and he said to them, "If any man wants to be first, he shall be last of all, and servant of all." He took a little child, and set him in the midst of them. Taking him in his arms, he said to them, "Whoever receives one such little child in my name, receives me, and whoever receives me, doesn't receive me, but him who sent me."
