Why is it so important to God that we forgive others when they sin against us?
It is important to forgive others when they sin against us because we ourselves are sinners and our sins were forgiven through Christ. To be Christ-like includes forgiveness. We are human, which means that we will sin. We would likewise want others to forgive us, so it is important for us to forgive others.

We are suppose to love one another no matter what, and to forgive what others might have said or done against us. God doesn`t want us to hate anybody he wants us to love everybody as our own brothers and sisters. We are God`s children and we are suppose to obey his word day in and day out,

FOrgive others
One sin that can forgive by God when we can`t forgive other people who trespass against us, as the Lord teach us in His pray. Jesus also teach us to forgive 70*7 is have meaning there is no limit for forgiveness. As long as we are conceited then God can`t forgive our debts, cause our debts more than other people`s debts to us. So if God forgive many of our debts why we do not forgive the people that have a little debts to us

Why is it so important to God that we forgive others when they sin against us?
Because the Lord wants to forgive us for our sins, therefore we should forgive those that have wronged us, or cannot repay their debts to us.

If we love then mercy will flow naturally from us.
The bible says that "we ought to love one another as ourselves and tha we esteem each other higher than ourselves".  God has love us unconditionally that He gave his only begotten Son, who died in our place because of sin and God in His infinite mercy forgave us and sent His Son to reconcile us back to Him. Our goal should be to live from the mind of Christ.

Why is it so important to God that we forgive others when they sin against us?
The Lord Jesus Christ has used a very clear story of forgiveness and this is where we can draw the reason for forgiving our felow brothers and sisters because if we forgive our brothers and sisters there misdeeds that is when we also can be forgiven by our Father in Heaven. It is important to God to forgive each other on earth since it is the count to your forgiveness in heaven.

The Parable of the Unmerciful Servant

Then Peter came and said to him, "Lord, how often shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? Until seven times?"
Jesus said to him, "I don't tell you until seven times, but, until seventy times seven. Therefore the Kingdom of Heaven is like a certain king, who wanted to reconcile accounts with his servants. When he had begun to reconcile, one was brought to him who owed him ten thousand talents. But because he couldn't pay, his lord commanded him to be sold, with his wife, his children, and all that he had, and payment to be made. The servant therefore fell down and kneeled before him, saying, 'Lord, have patience with me, and I will repay you all!' The lord of that servant, being moved with compassion, released him, and forgave him the debt.
"But that servant went out, and found one of his fellow servants, who owed him one hundred denarii, and he grabbed him, and took him by the throat, saying, 'Pay me what you owe!'
"So his fellow servant fell down at his feet and begged him, saying, 'Have patience with me, and I will repay you!' He would not, but went and cast him into prison, until he should pay back that which was due. So when his fellow servants saw what was done, they were exceedingly sorry, and came and told to their lord all that was done. Then his lord called him in, and said to him, 'You wicked servant! I forgave you all that debt, because you begged me. Shouldn't you also have had mercy on your fellow servant, even as I had mercy on you?' His lord was angry, and delivered him to the tormentors, until he should pay all that was due to him. So my heavenly Father will also do to you, if you don't each forgive your brother from your hearts for his misdeeds."
