How does hardness of heart lead to divorce? How does one avoid having a hard heart?
When the heart does not feel others pain, it becomes hard and love and mercy do not stay there. Hence divorce happens when there is no love in the heart. And the love which we are talking about is pure, mutual love and not lust. A love which disciplines, a love which corrects, a love which is patient, not irritable, a love which is forgiving, ...says 1 Corinthians 13. When this love exists between the man and his wife, then divorce is not at all possible. We can avoid having a hard heart by making ourself humble like a child first. Then try to understand others pain and not complain about our problems in life all the time. Pray for them. Also pray to God for the melting of our hearts towards othersin pain so that we may love them as our God has loved us when we were in pain. Be satisfied with what you have. Forgive, forgive, forgive.

Well when people are blinded to the truth ''Word of God'' this causes the heart to hardness which leads to divorce. By keeping the word of God in your heart and living by the spirit of God. Continue in God`s love for each other and live in Harmony and Peace and Love. Amen!

Oneness in marriage is a picture of Jesus to His Church. Division and divorce is not God`s will.

How does hardness of heart lead to divorce? How does one avoid having a hard heart?
Hardness of heart leads to divorce in many ways, you think that you are some how better than your mate, you forget to have compassion, you forget to be passionate with your mate, and these are but a few ways the heart starts to harden. To avoid a harden heart always try to put God first your mate second and remember love is our greatest gift.

How does hardness of heart lead to divorce? How does one avoid having a hard heart?
When we say hardness of the heart is it to mean that the heart is not ready for change and and it can lead to divorce in the sense that it takes a wicked and cruel husband or wife to seek for divorce. Hard hearts are people who dont feel for the others and due to that they dont feel good with their heart since their heart is not ment and ready for changes due to their believes and tradition which they are not ready to change for the better. I avoiding having hard heart one has to accept Jesus into his life for Jesus to lead and direct his ways and all will be over on that. peace shalom. lawrence

Hardness of Heart
We must love God and love our spouses. If your heart is filled with love, then you will repsond to others in lover. We must pray to the Lord to keep our hearts and minds in the love of God. If we pray with our spouse to god, he will answer and help us with our problems. We are all different people shaped by our life experiences and sometimes experiences create different to people. The way to stay together is to both communicate openly to God so God can show us our true selves. There must be open talk and communication. If we stay angry we close off communication and the result is not a Christian walk. God is the key.

Divorce

It happened when Jesus had finished these words, he departed from Galilee, and came into the borders of Judea beyond the Jordan. Great multitudes followed him, and he healed them there. Pharisees came to him, testing him, and saying, "Is it lawful for a man to divorce his wife for any reason?"
He answered, "Haven't you read that he who made them from the beginning made them male and female, and said, 'For this cause a man shall leave his father and mother, and shall join to his wife; and the two shall become one flesh?' So that they are no more two, but one flesh. What therefore God has joined together, don't let man tear apart."
They asked him, "Why then did Moses command us to give her a bill of divorce, and divorce her?"
He said to them, "Moses, because of the hardness of your hearts, allowed you to divorce your wives, but from the beginning it has not been so. I tell you that whoever divorces his wife, except for sexual immorality, and marries another, commits adultery; and he who marries her when she is divorced commits adultery."
His disciples said to him, "If this is the case of the man with his wife, it is not expedient to marry."
But he said to them, "Not all men can receive this saying, but those to whom it is given. For there are eunuchs who were born that way from their mother's womb, and there are eunuchs who were made eunuchs by men; and there are eunuchs who made themselves eunuchs for the Kingdom of Heaven's sake. He who is able to receive it, let him receive it."
