Jesus and money
Jesus talked about money all the time. Jesus, the One whom we follow, says:
  • It is harder for a rich person to be saved than for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle. ''Matthew 19:24''

There's something about money. I know that tug, and I know that you know it too. There's just something about it that wants to be God. Jesus said that it takes a miracle of God to be free of its pull.

    The One we follow said:

  • Don't store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth corrupts and thieves break in and steal, ''You and I know, in our part of the world and in our kind of life what kind of spiritual warfare this issue gets into , what bondage this gets us into.'' but lay up for yourselves treasures in Heaven for where your treasure is, that's where your heart will be. ''Matthew 6: 19-21''

The real question is: Where do you want your heart to be?

    RIch man`s possession
Sometimes our money become a god and adultery for us, we rather to keep our money than the Lord, as God said to Moses in Deuteronomy : My people when they are blessed they will forget me. SO God knows human heart, we will fall down cause by our money, so we need extra teaching from ord how to maintain our money and not serve our money. as long as the people serve their mone than their not worthy for Lord, because He is a jealous God

Why did Jesus tell the rich man to sell all his possessions before coming to follow Him?
Possessions are things of the world that are not necessary in Heaven. Worldly possessions distract us. To follow Jesus, we need no worldly possessions.

Why did Jesus tell the rich man to sell all his possessions before coming to follow Him?
Jesus said this because He knows that the things of heaven is quite different from that of the world. Again, If you losed the thigs of the world for my sake you shall gain all of them after mate, for the bible said seek ye first the kingdom of God and every other things shall be added unto you.For any thing you loose on earth is waitng for you in heaven. That is to say if you want to be perfect in the field of God you MUST forget about earthly things, things that pleases the flesh.

Why did Jesus tell the rich man to sell all his possessions before coming to follow Him?
Jesus saw that this man, though He was a law-abiding citizen, still is not perfect in the eyes of God..To be the greatest in His Kingdom, one must first be the servant of all.

    The Rich Young Man

Behold, one came to him and said, "Good teacher, what good thing shall I do, that I may have eternal life?"
He said to him, "Why do you call me good? No one is good but one, that is, God. But if you want to enter into life, keep the commandments."
He said to him, "Which ones?"
Jesus said, "'You shall not murder.' 'You shall not commit adultery.' 'You shall not steal.' 'You shall not offer false testimony.' 'Honor your father and mother.' And, 'You shall love your neighbor as yourself.'"
The young man said to him, "All these things I have observed from my youth. What do I still lack?"
Jesus said to him, "If you want to be perfect, go, sell what you have, and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, follow me." But when the young man heard the saying, he went away sad, for he was one who had great possessions. Jesus said to his disciples, "Most certainly I say to you, a rich man will enter into the Kingdom of Heaven with difficulty. Again I tell you, it is easier for a camel to go through a needle's eye, than for a rich man to enter into the Kingdom of God."
When the disciples heard it, they were exceedingly astonished, saying, "Who then can be saved?"
Looking at them, Jesus said, "With men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible."
Then Peter answered, "Behold, we have left everything, and followed you. What then will we have?"
Jesus said to them, "Most certainly I tell you that you who have followed me, in the regeneration when the Son of Man will sit on the throne of his glory, you also will sit on twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel. Everyone who has left houses, or brothers, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my name's sake, will receive one hundred times, and will inherit eternal life. But many will be last who are first; and first who are last.
