Maybe Jesus used the fig tree to say if you don`t pray, have faith or believe you will not prosper.

Nothing is impossible. You can do all things through Christ. Jesus was showing them that if you have faith and don`t have a doubt in your mind, believing. They too will be able to move mountains.

What lesson do you think Jesus taught the disciples by cursing the fig tree?
He was teaching his disciples about faith; telling them if they have that kind of faith believing and recieving it into their hearts and do not doubt it will be done for them by prayer. They too can move mountains or cause the fig tree to wither away, only Believe! What Jesus has given his disciples is authority over every living thing as he has commanded. Thank You! Heavenly Father, as believer`s we should recieve according to your word in name of Jesus. Amen!

What lesson do you think Jesus taught the disciples by cursing the fig tree?
We are like the figtree, we were made to carry fruit but in many ways we dissapoint God, and do the opposite of what He wants us to do. We were created by God to serve Him, to make Him smile. Like the figtree we tend to fall short, however, we do not have to wither away, because Jesus died on the cross for our sins. We must just have faith in Him, keep on believing and be the best that we can be through the Holy Spirit and our faith in God. In our faith we know that God will give us anything we ask in prayer, even to move a mountain if needed. Thank You Father for Your love, make me a worthy servant. I love You Father. In Jesus name, Amen.

What lesson do you think Jesus taught the disciples by cursing the fig tree?
For Christ has said that for any tree that bare no fruit in our live shall be removed with root. Jesus used the Fig Tree as an example to the disciples. He telling them that everyone of us has various problems in our live which the Fig Tree stands as an example. The more we could pray, fasting and believe that everything are possible for HIM to do, we shall surely COMMAND all the tribulations and the Fig Tree in our live to remove with immediate effect and it shall be.

By cursing the fig tree, Jesus taught the disciples to have faith, and not doubt his power. When we pray the Lord willingly will answer our prayer and we will receive all what we ask for.

The Fig Tree Withers

Now in the morning, as he returned to the city, he was hungry. Seeing a fig tree by the road, he came to it, and found nothing on it but leaves. He said to it, "Let there be no fruit from you forever!"
Immediately the fig tree withered away. When the disciples saw it, they marveled, saying, "How did the fig tree immediately wither away?"
Jesus answered them, "Most certainly I tell you, if you have faith, and don't doubt, you will not only do what was done to the fig tree, but even if you told this mountain, 'Be taken up and cast into the sea,' it would be done. All things, whatever you ask in prayer, believing, you will receive."
