Perhaps the Sadducees knew some little truth but they only kept there hearts hesitant to truth.For them only thought of Jesus taking their Leadership as the b`se he had got reputation from the public and some how this evil feeling entered them that he might be the King so whatever he could do then, they wouldn`t buy it even though it was right. This is because the scripture is very clear about the resurectetion that Jesus is God of the living and not of the dead but the sadducees didnot believe in the resurrection. They ''Sadducees'' had no power of God ''The Holy Spirit''which can reveal the secret of the of the kingdom of God in accordance with the ressurection. It is like the Sadducees were mistake and misundertood the law of which God gave them through the prophet Moses. They were astonished because Jesus told them the truth about the ressurection that as brothers and sisters we will be enjoying all together like the angels in heaven. Glory be to God Amen! On that day Sadducees
(those who say that there is no resurrection) came to him. They asked him,
saying, "Teacher,
Moses said, 'If a man dies, having no children, his brother shall marry
his wife, and raise up seed for his brother.' Now there were with us seven
brothers. The first married and died, and having no seed left his wife to
his brother. In like
manner the second also, and the third, to the seventh. After them all, the woman died.
In the resurrection
therefore, whose wife will she be of the seven? For they all had her."
But Jesus answered
them, "You are mistaken, not knowing the Scriptures,
nor the power of God. For in the resurrection they
neither marry, nor are given in marriage, but are like God's angels in
heaven. But concerning
the resurrection of the dead, haven't you read that which was spoken to
you by God, saying, 'I
am the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob?' God is not
the God of the dead, but of the living." When the multitudes
heard it, they were astonished at his teaching.
