Since Jesus knew that He was to be crucified, why did He not just avoid trouble by leaving town?
Jesus could not avoid trouble because He was on a mission, and he could not cower from the will of God. He had to preach the word of God when it was still day`. He had limited time, and he knew it, so he had to work as per his father`s schedule, and not what he felt, or what we would have wanted him to do. Again, Jesus is the TRUTH the life, and the way.how could he ran from the truth ? Wow could the WAY ran away if we are to find the way? He couldn`t do what was contrary to his Father`s and his own character. more over, Jesus couldn`t run away from trouble because he wants to show us what to do in times of trouble-to persevere and hold to our ground with courage''For we have not been given a spirit of fear, but of power.. Jesus came to save us, to teach us the truth and show us the way. Jesus did not leave because it was prophecy of Jesus` immense love and sacrifice for us. Jesus will never leave you or forsake you. Hebrews 13:5

Since Jesus knew that He was to be crucified, why did He not just avoid trouble by leaving town?
Jesus came down from heaven for the purpose of sacrifising himself for us, so our sins can be forgiven and we can make heaven.Leaving town was not an option for Him. Rather He had to make sure nothing stopped Him from being arrested so that His aim and purpose would be fulfilled.

Jesus leaving town will be like he is afriad of the elders and that afraid to be crucified and also that will be that the word of the Lord was not fulfiled.

Matthew`s Biography of Jesus - The Plot Against Jesus
Jesus warned His disciples about His situation so that the people at the feast would be calm, before the storm would arise. Likewise for all of us who are suffering, keep the people around you calm, so that either the storm passes over quickly, or the storm can bring an end to our suffering permanently. Amen, God bless all who suffer in silence, and God`s speed to all who need it!!!!

The Plot Against Jesus

It happened, when Jesus had finished all these words, that he said to his disciples, "You know that after two days the Passover is coming, and the Son of Man will be delivered up to be crucified."
Then the chief priests, the scribes, and the elders of the people were gathered together in the court of the high priest, who was called Caiaphas. They took counsel together that they might take Jesus by deceit, and kill him. But they said, "Not during the feast, lest a riot occur among the people."
