Why did those who passed by mock Jesus?
, THIS IS JESUS, THE KING OF THE JEWS. Nailed to the cross going through all that physical suffering? a king? they did not understand the Message and are laughing out of pride too probably. Not understanding that through that true victory comes.they are blowing out of proportion their human power not understanding that true strenght comes from God and springs from the very cross.May Jesus find in each of us a Saint John the Baptist willing to give his life for him. And find so his or her own Life.Have a joyous feast day wehrever you may be renewed strenghtened bathed in the Baptism of Jesus :''

Why did those who passed by mock Jesus?
They mocked Jesus becuase, they did not understand His mission. They didn`t know that he had to suffer in order to save us. They knew He has the power to save Himself, so they were trying to put Him to the test forgetting His own words Thou shall not tempt the Lord thy God. He had to die to have dominion over everything on earth and beyond.

Why did those who passed by mock Jesus?
They didn`t understand God`s plan, they didn`t believe in Him. They didn`t know the msytery of His death. They did`nt know that despite His power of healing others He still put himself humbly to redeem us by letting Himself be crucified. We are trully blessed!

Why did those who passed by mock Jesus?
Hello dear friends, You see Jesus had performed so many miracles and he had saved somany people and now when he was hanged they expected him to defend him self by showing the power of God through resisting crucifixion and yet this was not Jesus`s mission , they said quite alot like he calls him self the king of the JEWS why cann`t he save him self now, His a son of God why hasn`t God forgotten him, He can destroy atemple and build it in 3 days and others. So these people were looking to see how Jesus could save him self before being burried and due to the fact that little did they know that he had to fast go through death then comes back with the keys.Had they known then they wouldn`t have mocked him. Therefore thankx be to our God for what he went through on the cross.Amen

The Crucifixion : The Death of Jesus on the Cross

As they came out, they found a man of Cyrene, Simon by name, and they compelled him to go with them, that he might carry his cross. They came to a place called "Golgotha," that is to say, "The place of a skull." They gave him sour wine to drink mixed with gall. When he had tasted it, he would not drink. When they had crucified him, they divided his clothing among them, casting lots, and they sat and watched him there. They set up over his head the accusation against him written, "THIS IS JESUS, THE KING OF THE JEWS."
Then there were two robbers crucified with him, one on his right hand and one on the left. Those who passed by blasphemed him, wagging their heads, and saying, "You who destroy the temple, and build it in three days, save yourself! If you are the Son of God, come down from the cross!"
Likewise the chief priests also mocking, with the scribes, the Pharisees, and the elders, said, "He saved others, but he can't save himself. If he is the King of Israel, let him come down from the cross now, and we will believe in him. He trusts in God. Let God deliver him now, if he wants him; for he said, 'I am the Son of God.'" The robbers also who were crucified with him cast on him the same reproach.
