Why did the Pharisees call Jesus a deceiver?
They said this be/cos what they expected to happen while Jesus betrayed and punished on the cross is not what they saw.Be/cos this, gave them more courage to call Jesus all sort of names they like, without knowing that it has been written to pass like that.

Jesus`s deceiver
Because the don;t want to believe in Holy spirit and Lord himself that He is Lord and God, but some of the pharisees believe that Jesus is son of God.

Joseph of Arimathaea`s spirit
He wants give his heart to holy spirit and believe that Jesus is the Lord and God. Just like when Jesus asked his disciples: Who am I ? and some of the disciples said : Rabbi, Teacher, Prophet, but peter Said : You are Son of God and Jesus said: be happy Peter not you told that but the holy spirit in you testify about me !. So if Joseph of Arimatea can believe in Lord only Holy Spirit`s works and most of that he wants gave his heart and want to believe in the Lord

Why did the Pharisees call Jesus a deceiver?
It is painful to refer to the King of Truth as a deceiver. I think that this reference to a dead person as a deciever was the worst hatred manifested by those hateful pharisees. They must have said it to gain favor and cheap popularity from Pilate.

The Burial of Jesus

When evening had come, a rich man from Arimathaea, named Joseph, who himself was also Jesus' disciple came. This man went to Pilate, and asked for Jesus' body. Then Pilate commanded the body to be given up. Joseph took the body, and wrapped it in a clean linen cloth, and laid it in his own new tomb, which he had hewn out in the rock, and he rolled a great stone to the door of the tomb, and departed. Mary Magdalene was there, and the other Mary, sitting opposite the tomb.
