Did Jesus condemn sin?

Jesus condemned sin but He did not condemn the sinner. He did not condone sin. Sin separates man from God. It is because of mankind being separated from God by sin that Jesus died on the cross. He paid for the sins of mankind by His death on the cross of Calvary.

In the Gospel of John, in the New Testament, we read the story an the adulterous woman who was caught in her sin – specifically, caught in adultery. Jesus did not condone her sinful act. But He did forgive it. The law condemned her sin and therefore people condemned her. But Jesus, did not condemn her, as we see in this verse in the Bible:

"And Jesus said unto her, Neither do I condemn you: go, and sin no more" (John 8:2-11 NKJV).

The New Testament Bible shows that Jesus died on the cross for the sins of mankind, so that sin could be forgiven. Without the shedding of His blood, mankind would be perpetually condemned for his sinful acts. Because of Jesus death on the cross, those who choose to make Him their savior can be free from the condemnation of sin.
