Why was it necessary for Jesus to increase and John to decrease?
JOHN had forfilled his destine and baptist and told the people that it was time to repent for the kingdom of GOD was at hand. JESUS it was time for JESUS to get the people to repent and except GOD into their lives changing their old and evil ways to live their lives holy the way GOD would have them to. To let them know that their sins can be forgiven and that their SAVIOR has come.

It is necessary for Jesus to increase and John to decrease because someday every knee shall bow and every tongue confess that Jesus is Lord. Jesus is the Son of God and he is the savior of our soul.

Jesus is the messiah, John new he was just filling in for our Jesus and when he saw the face of Jesus Christ our Saviour John new his time was up. Jesus Christ Our saviour was the messiah he had been waiting on.

Because John the Baptist was called Prophet of the Most High,for he went before the Lord to prepare the way for him.To give his people knowledge of salvation through the forgiveness of their sin;But Jesus himself is the Lord and the Bringer of Kingdom of God.
