Why did Jesus? penalty for sin need to include physical and emotional pain - why not just spiritual separation from God?
If after his death he then arose again and if you all consider him to be alive today, then the sacrifice seems either not such a big deal or not much of a sacrifice -- he was better off afterwards. If he died ad stayed dead, that would make more sense. It is kinda like tying a string around a coin and putting it into a soda machine, get your soda and then pull the coin back out.

If you had a one-on-one meal with Jesus, what would you discuss?
How he does it.... How he stays so real, and approachable, yet so pure, powerful, and holy at the same time. I would want to talk about ideas and concepts & how He came up with everything in creation - like food, and flowers & love!

Why did Jesus? penalty for sin need to include physical and emotional pain - why not just spiritual separation from God?
I think Jesus penalty had to include these two aspects of human life because these are the ways we learn more than being taught. A slap on the hands for a child, being spanked or being put into jail as a adult. Humans learn by the pain we suffer Som eof us do but some are smarter. I have a PHD in the HARD KNOCKS University. We are all told what will happen when we do thingsd but we must push our limits and gain knowledge from the pain of learning. Not all choose this path but I like , most have and do not wish my children to take this route but know they too have the same desires and will learn valuable lessons from the pain and disappointment from life. In life we learn most from the losing not the winning. If you can learn from these you can be a better person. Much love Jennifer

Which of these purposes do you believe Jesus accomplished?
To demostrate God`s Love, to bring good news, to sacrifice Himself for others, to be a source of abundant life, alol these purposes were acomplished by Jesus Christ. There are several example of thatfor us to see.

Was Jesus trying to incite his death (eg. temple cleansing, accusation of leaders?)
There is no way Jesus could have incited his death, he came to save us from our sins. His way of teaching were viewed by many in that direction. Jesus came to the world to save the world , but for him to do all these he had to preach the gospel truth, which is hard for some people to bear.

Because we had to be able to know that Jesus understood EVERY pain, every bit of suffering that we endure in this earthly life. And He did.

Why did Jesus` penality for sin include physical and emotional pain
Jesus suffered this abuse due to the ignorance of the people and the evilness of satan. He wanted to force Jesus to yield and not die for us. All the suffering He went through only proved that his love for us is so very deep and to show us what is in store for the ones who love Him and not ashamed to admit it. I feel that it must truly hurt Him to look down on the people He suffered and died and see so many nonbelievers. Yes, the suffering He bore for me truly makes me love Him more.

Jesus came to us personally and walked among us. He suffered physical and emotional pain and spiritual separation. Jesus` death, burial, and resurrection of helps reinforce our faith in Jesus.
