Why did Jesus“ penalty for "sin" need to include physical and emotional pain - why not just spiritual separation from God?
I believe that Jesus had to suffer physical and emotional pain so the witnesses could actually believe that he was the Son of God - came to earth - and died for our sins. People actually saw Jesus suffer excrutiating pain and suffering. Even Roman soldiers recognized this. I don't believe they, or many others would have truly believe that Jesus was the Son of God if He did not suffer and die like He did. Jesus was born to die for our sin.Sin was was already in the world before we was born. When Jesus lay down his life for us he gave us a change to be free of our sin. When Jesus was human,he was among peoples they could see him in person. They put him in pain. They would not list to the truth. Your sin became a spiritual stronghold with such force that only God's son Jesus the christ, can release you from sins. His authority can lease us from the spiritually strong-hold that weak over our lives. Our emotional trauma fits into category of spiritual stronghold that ushers in so much mayhem that avoid make sense -until we connect with the savior who is great than any sin problem or stronghold,He said, but take heart because I have ouercome the world John 16:33 this is good to know. Today we must worship in spirit and in truth. Because He is in spirit. That why Jesus had to sacrifice for us and went through all that pain. Because we did not believe in christ Jesus or what Jesus mean to us.Jesus went through those pain so we could have a life on this earth more abound to community together with each other. "Was Jesus trying to incite his death (eg. temple cleansing, accusation of leaders?)
I don't think that Jesus was trying to incite his death. He knew that He was place on earth to die for our sins. Death was inevitable, regardless of what He did. By: Kevin Cotherman Category: Timeline - Final 1 Week (1) Comments

"Which of these purposes do you believe Jesus accomplished?"
Is this a trick question? I believe Jesus accomplished all of these purposes. It is written in the Bible, so it is so. By: Kevin Cotherman Category: Statements of Purpose

If you had a one-on-one meal with Jesus, what would you discuss?
I would have many questions for Jesus - but I guess the first questions would be about sin, prayer, and forgiveness. How do these tie together and how does He feel about them. Also, how come tragic things happen to good people? By: Kevin Cotherman Category: Invite Me to be Close to You

I think Jesus purpose was to show us how to love one another. How to walk on this earth he had made.Jesus creates people in the image of him,so he want them walk in his foot step. No right from wrong in order to no, is you have to no about Bible. So he use man to spread the good new. Jesus need help from other when he was living on the earth.
