Why did Jesus´ penalty for "sin" need to include physical and emotional pain - why not just spiritual separation from God?
I believe because we on Earth go through physical and emotional pain that could make us feel that God will not be there for us.  And to prove that he will still be there and should be trusted, He put His only son through the same that we would be going through.

Why does Jesus call "Love One Another" a "New" commandment?
I don't think that people understood that the original commandments are about love so Jesus' made it plain or summed it up for us.

If you had a one-on-one meal with Jesus, what would you discuss?
If I had a one-a-one meal with Jesus I would discuss what I could do in the world today to plant seeds for the salvation of others.

"Which of these purposes do you believe Jesus accomplished?"

I believe that Jesus did all of the above:

He demonstrated His Father's love. He brought us the Good News that the Kingdom of God is at hand.  He died for us. Because of him my life is abundant with peace and love. I understand the kingdom because I have heard about it from others as well as read about Jesus coming to tell us about it.

What is the Kingdom of God?
The Kingdom of God is a time not so far off when Jesus will rule on the earth as King. The world as we see it will be very different. We do not truly for the most part know what it will really be like because the presence of God will be like nothing we have ever known.   It is the GOOD NEWS!

"According to Jesus, what does it mean to be loved by God?"
To be loved by God means that one is following the teachings of Jesus, applying his words to their lives.

Does Jesus believe lowly people are valuable? How valuable?

Jesus does believe that people who others call lowly are valuable. Jesus never saw them as lowly that is just how valuable they were to him.

People even thought that children were lowly yet Jesus said that the kingdom of heaven belonged to those with childlike qualities.

Define "Compassion"?

compassion- a feeling of pity that makes one want to help or show mercy.

in that case, lord jesus pity on those who need healing and help on that time.

sometimes the life path we choose brings a lot of problems that we could'nt face up that probably because god have his own plans on us and knew our need from early on........

Jesus truly loved
Jesus came in this world and loved those who the world thought were incapable of being loved for some reason or another.  He looked past the faults of others and saw their need.  That is what we are all called to do. It all boils down to compassion as we walk from day to day and are challenged with loving those who cannot love right now with the hope that they will love one day.  The chances of that are greater when they can turn around and say that I loved them, representing all that Jesus stands for , rather than I shunned them or was adverse towards them, representing something other than Jesus. When people, like children, are hurting they lash out and are mean and offensive. It is a sign of the ailment of lovelessness. They may have been treated badly or have never had any person show them love or accept them as they are. Jesus was perfect at showing His love for those others could not love, the woman who was being accused of adultery, the tax collector who was persecuting people, the one who betrayed Him. It is a hard act to follow but the best example of the right thing to do. God smiles on us when we show love versus contempt. It does not show while we are being persecuted by those who need love but I am always re-assured that I did the right thing when no advesity was met or caused by me. I must remain blameless in the encounter or meeting or interaction. If I remember that it helps me to be still and know that God is God.
