Why did Jesus´ penalty for "sin" need to include physical and emotional pain - why not just spiritual separation from God?

For Him to have left the glory above and to come down on earth was for a special puupose which must have to be acomplished.  God knows that the gravity of the sins that the world had committed and all the atrocities in our world could not go away without a sever punishment.

But because of His for mankind, remember He said that "It is not His wish for any to perish but that all should come to repentance so we all can spend enternity with Him". Also remember " For God so loved the world that He sent His only begotten son to die on the cross of calvary".

The pains and separation from God that Jesus went through is an evidence all were almost lost before God intervened. It is also a witness to those who still does not believe in Him.

It was necessary we will realize how much He (Jesus) loved and the sacrifice He had to sacrifice for us. (His dear life).  Thank you Lord for taking that excrutiating pains and separation from God that I might have life more in abundance.

It is my prayer that you touch those who are yet to recongnize as their Lord and personal Saviour to come to repentance.

Thak you Lord, I love and will always love and appreciate what you have done for me.  Thank you!

"Was Jesus trying to incite his death (eg. temple cleansing, accusation of leaders?)

Jesus was present since the beginning with the father. He knew everything that would ever happen. He knew he had to humble himself and take off his majesty and splendor and take the form of a mere man that had nothing special in appearance as it says in Isaih 53, and be the sacrifice not to rid the world of sin, but so that through his blood we can be freed from the law and made righteous with God when we confess him as our saviour. He knew what had to be done and accepted the calling God had for him. He was not trying to incite his death but rather accepting the inevitable that was necessary for our salvation.

"Which of these purposes do you believe Jesus accomplished?"

Jesus accomplished every purpose the father had for him. If he had failed that would mean that he is human but we know through his ministry, life, and our faith that he is divine in nature and perfect in every aspect.

If you had a one-on-one meal with Jesus, what would you discuss?
I would discuss everything there is to discuss. I would ask about our origins and great ancestors. I would ask about his splendor and how his love truly works. His love is the greatest gift this world has ever seen and we will never truly understands it. Jesus did not come to rid us of sin. He came to free us from the yoke of the law which holds us back. In the Bible God states that whomever is justified by the law is unrighteous in his eyes. He came to show how Jesus is the replacement for the law. Before Jesus there was no sacrifice for their sin therefore they tried to justify themselves by the law, however, we now have Jesus as our sacrifice and the Holy Spirit living in us believers. If Jesus would have come to rid the world of sin then that would mean he failed. But his purpose was to make us righteous through him. If we think we deserve him because of our good deeds or we are just in his eyes then by the law that would mean we dont need his sacrifice and therefore we would be stating we dont need Jesus. I dont know about everyone else, but I cant live without him.

Why did Jesus´ penalty for "sin" need to include physical and emotional pain - why not just spiritual separation from God?
This was said by the first prophets that there will be another option after our father Adam and Eve sinned and with the love of God he prepared his plan to rescue us through our ancestors and ourselves, this was the plan of God in that case its was to be executed by the death of Jesus, remember Jesus didn't sin. But because of me and you he had to complete the mission of God, that if we accept him we can get salvation through the cross,

Why did Jesus´ penalty for "sin" need to include physical and emotional pain - why not just spiritual separation from God?

Why did Jesus have to suffer for our sins?  I believe that we are looking in a foggy mirror here, and I would like to point out that we are not required to understand these profound mysteries of our faith.  True faith requires a leap without some higher level of understanding.  God has a tendency of making fools of the wise.  Only child-like faith can enter the gates of heaven.  So, if you don't get it, that's okay.  You don't have to be Plato or Socrates to be a Christian.

Maybe Jesus suffered to show the world that there is no limit to how far He will go to save us.

It would have been a mission not accomplished if both the physical and emotional pain were not felt, Jesus came to us in fresh and blood like all men, and for him to pay the price for us, he had to subject himself to pain like an ordinary man. However his suffering surpassed any I have ever know, moreso he was innocent. Every obstacle in life comes with both physical and emotional pain, whether we like it or not, but with God on our side there are no mountains which cannot be moved and there are no doors which cannot be opened.

It requires the physical & emotional pain to fulfill the will of God the Father,

The physical;as the Holy scripture say without the Shedding of the Blood there is no Forgiveness of sin.

During the Last Supper with his 12 disciples (Mat.26 :26-28 ) Jesus Christ as he took the bread and before he give the bread to his disciples,he blessed it and said this is my "body " and same he did on the cup and he said into the cup this is my blood of the new and everlasting covenant which will be shed for all men for the forgiveness of sin.

The emotional pain I think,is when Jesus Christ prayed in the Gardens of gethsemane where this scene demonstrate that Jesus Christ feel(emotion)the pain of being departed from his disciples

He did the suffering for us and he has to do his fathers will. This spiritual separation is the heaviest sacrifice which jesus pays on behalf of mankind,so that mankind does not suffer spiritual separation from god.

Why did Jesus´ penalty for "sin" need to include physical and emotional pain - why not just spiritual separation from God?

Jesus was sent to earth to take on a human form in order for Him to go through all that humankind goes through.thereby enabling us to look up to Him whenever we go through one of these tribulations.

HIS RESURRECTION BROUGHT US NEWNESS OF LIFE!

Because He has gone through all of these things,He will already know and understand what and how we feel when calling on Him in times of trouble.

What A blessing-How great His Love!
