How does being forgiven increase ones love for God? Note: According to Jesus, God`s forgiveness is motivated by love.
Though God hates sin He loves the sinner. Being forgiven means the punishment for that particular sin has been canceled. Who is not happy to escape punishment. ..what manner of love has he for us that while we were yet sinners Christ died for us. Try and comprehend. Without love we can't appreciate forgiveness. Why does Jesus call "Love One Another" a "New" commandment?
If the world had understood 'Love' it wouldn't have been new to us. Jesus clarified this statement. Besides, Jesus made all things new in his time. Though never changing, Jesus has something new for us everyday. His mercies, love and providence are always new. By: Emmanuel Mensah Category: Love One Another

If you had a one-on-one meal with Jesus, what would you discuss?
Mark 8:36 declares that what profit a man when he gains the whole world and loses his soul. I would discuss about my salvation with Jesus. Besides, that is the sole purpose for which Jesus died. By: Emmanuel Mensah Category: Invite Me to be Close to You

"Which of these purposes do you believe Jesus accomplished?"
Isaiah 55:11 says that the word of God does not come and go empty except it has accomplished that for which it was sent. Besides, John 1:1 declares that Jesus is the word. So for the purpose for which Jesus was sent He accomplished all and not some. By: Emmanuel Mensah Category: Statements of Purpose

"Was Jesus trying to incite his death (eg. temple cleansing, accusation of leaders?)
Jesus' death was already foretold so he was not trying to incite his death. Actually, that was the truth about his death. He is our incomparable Christ; the only savior whose birth and death was foretold and who promised to come back for his people. By: Emmanuel Mensah Category: Timeline - Final 1 Week

Why did Jesus´ penalty for "sin" need to include physical and emotional pain - why not just spiritual separation from God?
Jesus had to suffer physical and emotional pain as he was fully human and had to undergo the same pain that any other ordinary human being has to suffer when they commit sin. If not so Jesus wouldnt have understood the experience of being human. By: Antilia Sebata Category: Timeline & Words - Final Hours of Execution

Why did Jesus´ penalty for "sin" need to include physical and emotional pain - why not just spiritual separation from God?
" ...and the spirit was made flesh". so Jesus was God in human flesh. Besides, the atonement of sin needs to be both spiritual and physical. this is why our savior Jesus included both physical and emotional pain. By: Emmanuel Mensah Category: Timeline & Words - Final Hours of Execution

Jesus penalty for Sin
Jesus knew he would suffer harshly, so we might know and fill in our hearts the pain Jesus went through so we could be set free of all sin and suffering by the blood of Jesus on the cross. By: John Wright (JW) Category: Timeline & Words - Final Hours of Execution
