Does Jesus believe lowly people are valuable? How valuable?

Some belive that charity is for the realm of government.

They believe that everybody should be regulated and taken care from cradle to grave by the government and they show their charity by paying their taxes.

Jesus was not talking to caesar and telling him to provide for the poor by taking from the rich. Jesus was talking to all who would listen about personal responsibility and charity of the individual.

P.S. Obama wants to cut charity tax credits. see link below

Assignment #1 Jesus in a NutShell

At this moment I'd feel comfortable explaining Jesus as....

Jesus is, my Lord and Savior. Jesus is THE link to God and the Holy Spirit. 

Jesus is Part of the Holy Trinity. Without Jesus and his sacrifice God would not be able to stomach having us dirty sinful creatures around. 

He bought my loyalty with his love and sacrifice yet I am his friend because he tells me of his plans.
