Why does Jesus call "Love One Another" a "New" commandment?
Jesus calls "Love One Another" because He died for our sins. We are His disciples. We must do as He did. He is kind.

Jesus calls "Love One Another" because that is the reason Jesus Christ died for our sins. He is kind. We are His disciples. We must do as He did.

Why did Jesus´ penalty for "sin" need to include physical and emotional pain - why not just spiritual separation from God?
It cannot be physical separation from God alone because He came to show us His love by becoming human like us.  He must feel physical pain pain because He became human being at that particular time.  Also, those who reject the salvation of Jesus in the end will not only be separated spiritually but will involve physical pain as laid down in the book of revelation. It said that they will suffer day and night.  Their worm will not die.  He has shown us the example of what we will experience if we refuse His offer of salvation.

Jesus had to endure the physical and emotional pain before he was spiritually separated. He was sent to serve and gave his life for us. Once his mission was accomplished, God separated him spiritually so that we don't have to suffer.

Jesus's pain cant just be separation from God because, He was human, forgiveness of sins require blood, instead of the use of blood of animals, He shed His blood so that sins cant be blotted out of man. Remember, by His stripes we are heal...

Why did Jesus´ penalty for "sin" need to include physical and emotional pain - why not just spiritual separation from God?
This is because He was born human and of GOD,so his punishment had to include both physical, emotional and spiritual, for people to understand that He was indeed the Son of GOD who came to die for our sins and to reconcil us with God,

Why did Jesus´ penalty for "sin" need to include physical and emotional pain - why not just spiritual separation from God?
Man is a tripatite body, soul and spirit his cleansing had to cover these aspects It is for this reason that Jesus had to suffer in all 3 aspects. His mission was to man in totality He had to pay the ransom in full This gives man complete freedom to serve God by his all body emotions and spirit is that not what He says? That we should serve Him with all we have? Besides, God as a human being had to suffer in all 3 aspects to strengthen us to make us understand that if we love Him as He loved us we may also be able to endure these difficulties. He goes thru this to clearly express the new commandment of sacrife for that which is Godly Of love and caring for onother May His love and blood shodow us into walking in His foot steps as He examplified

because all men must see the punishment of God and thus understand the depth of his love. Do not forget also that it is a sacrifice that reconciles us with God

Mark10:45 says,i the son of man came here not to be served but to serve  others and to give my life as an ofering for many, this means that God came to die because of me and you just for our sins. And also to save as from the salery of sin.

Jesus revealed the mysterious secrets about himself to his disciples, but even they failed to comprehend the nature of his mission. He came to give his life as a ransom for many, which includes you and me. Mark 10:45 says; "For even I, the son of Man, came here not to be served but to serve others, and to give my life as a ransom for many" This verse reveals not only the motive for Jesus' ministry, but also the basis for our salvation. A ransom was the price paid to release a slave. Jesus paid a ransom for us because we could not pay it ourselves. His death released all of us from our slavery to sin. The disciples thought Jesus' life and power would save them from Rome; Jesus said his death would save them from sin, an even greater slavery than Rome's.
