I also believe Jesus accomplished everthing his father wanted him to do. He bought good news to the poor. He proclaim liberty to the captives. he sacrifice himself for us. Jesus loves unconditionally.

I agree with what is said by others in this discussion. I believe Jesus has fulfilled all His purposes. This is an exciting reality for our world today!

How does Jesus link intimacy to him with obedience to him?" a "New" commandment?
Jesus doesn't want His followers to serve out of obligation. Rather, He wants His followers to serve in the midst of a genuine relationship with Him. A genuine relationship of obedience comes when there is love. Thus, Jesus wants His followers to be in a loving relationship with Him. The "new" aspect of this comes in the realization that God doesn't want us invested in rules. Rather, He wants us to be in a meaningful relationship with Him.

TO THE BEST OF MY UNDERSTANDING JESUS ACCOMPLISHED ALL THE PURPOSE, HE GAVE US LIBERTY ON THE CROSS, HE PREACHED THE GOOD NEWS TO THE PEOPLE AND PROCLAIM LIBERTY TO THE CAPTIVE. JESUS ACCOMPLISHED THEM ALL

Jesus accomplished all his purposes while he was alive on Earth...and continues his work today my filling those who receive him as their savior with the Holy Spirit. It is up to us to let Jesus work through OUR bodies, our minds and our faith.

HIS LOVE FOR US IS SO GREAT THAT HE IS MERCIFUL AND WANT US TO GROW INTO HIS WORD SO THAT WE WILL DEVELOPE AN UNDERSTANDING AND LIVE ACCORDING TO HIS WILL WHICH WILL GIVE US A LONG AND GOOD LIFE.

If you had a one-on-one meal with Jesus, what would you discuss?

I WOULD DISCUSS THE TORMOIL IN THIS WORLD AND THANK AND PRAISE HIM FOR HIS MANY BLESSINGS. I WOULD ASK IS THERE A WAY TO MAKE THIS WORLD CLEAN AND PEACEFUL AND WHAT IS MY MINISTRY HERE AND TO PLEASE SHOW ME THE PATH TO TAKE.

Intimacy is having a relationship with him. Where you speak to him daily and in doing so you follow his commandments. And since we all fall short of perfection it would also mean to confess your sins to him daily just as you pray to him daily.

The people of the world and my family. I'd want to talk about what more could I do to bring them closer and getting them to love our wonderful LORD Jesus Christ. I'd want to talk about myself and ask if I'm doing my part and what else I could do to be a better servant of his. I'd talk to him about my sinful nature (I smoke cigs) and ask him for strength so that I could quit. To heal me of my nicotine addiction. And I'd talk to him about all the love I have in my heart for him. How I am sorry for any things I've done wrong and how I want so badly to do his will, please him and serve him.
