"Was Jesus trying to incite his death (eg. temple cleansing, accusation of leaders?)
I don't think so.  He knew what had to be done and He did it head on. And that is how we should be Christians.

"Was Jesus trying to incite his death (eg. temple cleansing, accusation of leaders?)

when Jesus came on earth sent by his father the mission was to change things from bad to better means to die on our behalf for us to be saved (to save the world from sins)and himself predicted about everything that would happen to him.

there were nothing to do for him to incite his death or to make those people to be violent against Jesus so he can be put to death he wanted the olders or leaders to hear the massege that he brought from his father for them to not follow their culture but to bide with messaiah who is the son of Almighty God.

those leaders were angry against Jesus when he was called himself son of GOD for them it was like abomination the non respect of Abraham their father like they used to call him and because of their hearts were harden that's why Jesus compared them to snakes and other reason that Jesus told them like he could build the temple in three days .

the leaders accomplished or to fiful the prophecy of Isaiah in his book he said "he was oppressed and afflicted, yet he did not open his mouth,he was led like a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is silent ,he not open his mouth".

no body can stop what the LORD GOD wants to do satan thought he was the winner but he find himself defeated and under the feet of son of God

THE HEALING PROCESS

I beleive when he looked up to heaven, He was glorifying his father for the work he was about to do. He knew his source of power and he acknowledges it.

As for the sigh, I think Jesus has seen some things in the future that those around him cannot see. The sighing signifies the weight of what he saw.

THE COMMAND -LOVE & OBEY ME

We cannot say we love someone when we fail to obey the person. Likewise, there will not be obedience without love. Note that obedience is different from complying since the later might be done unwillingly.

Jesus said, if you love me, you will obey my commandments. Loving him opens our heart on how to fully and rightly obey him. the 2 but 1 command are synonymous to each other. They go ahnd in hand.

"Which of these purposes do you believe Jesus accomplished?"

first of all there were a gap between God and human being after they sinned in the garden i am talking about Adam and Eve that sin made a chasm or separation from our creator God the Almighty.

and God send his begotten son, first to come and preach to us about the kingdom of his father and Jesus says do you think i have come to bring peace on earth?no.this question is very significant to all of us he continued I tell you but division to just separate sheep from goats means people who don't believe in Jesus as our savoir.

the book of Isaiah says Jesus came to die on cross for the world for you and me Emmanuel who accepted to make a bridge between our GOD to reconciliate with we sinners Jesus as a God he was oppressed and afflicted, yet he did not open his mouth ,he was led like a lamb to the slaugter, and as sheep before her shearers is silent,so he did not open his mouth.

this is the accomplishment of his mission because the meaning of all those event that day which he was crucified, GOD is so wounderful and loves us so that we may not perish but have evalasting life.

How does Jesus link intimacy to him with obedience to him?" a "New" commandment?
Being obedience to Him makes it possible to be close to Him. He is so pure and holy He cannot coexist with evil. To not obey is evil.

If you had a one-on-one meal with Jesus, what would you discuss?
Why does the bad people get all the breaks? I am a honest and loyal person, but when I tried to get a job I was past over because I was being honest. So when I started to lie on the test the companies want you to fill out than I was called for interviews.

If you had a one-on-one meal with Jesus, what would you discuss?
First of all,  He came for my salvation so what we`d have to discuss Is: As He`s the potter to make me the vessel as seem good to him, Am I up to now that vessel?

A Common Theme

It appears there is a common theme in this lesson. Jesus is doing the asking and is waiting for an answer from me. What is puzzling is why God would be asking me or anyone for that matter to have a relationship with him. What motivates God to ask us to be a friend? Genesis 15:6 And he believed in the LORD, and He accounted it to him for righteousness. James comments on this relationship in James 2:23 And the Scripture was fulfilled which says, "Abraham believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness." And he was called the friend of God.

FAITH AS LITTLE AS A MUSTARD SEED

This parable teaches us what faith can do. Many a times we tend to question our faith by fretting about what to eat or drink or wear. We must learn to hand over all our worries to God. He will surely provide for us.

The disciples have not learnt anything about faith or they simply do not beleive in it. That was why they questioned Jesus when He asked them to feed the congregation.

The question for us all today is .....How much faith do we have.
