Why did JesusĀ“ penalty for "sin" need to include physical and emotional pain - why not just spiritual separation from God?

Jesus spiritual sepration from God was very impossible.Remember he was sent by THE ALMIGHTY  father and it is said in the bible that the father is in him and him in the father.but i have forgotten that book.

secondly his penality for sin was to save the whole world from death and this was from the father ,this phsical and emotional pain was to prove to people that in our preparation for and way in God's kingdom always there is pain at certain times but as believers and sons of God ,we should be prepared also to go through any kind of suffering as in accordance with God's kingdom.

"Was Jesus trying to incite his death (eg. temple cleansing, accusation of leaders?)
Jesus was a radical. Nothing could stop or sway Him from speaking the truth, being just, merciful, gracious. He knew when His time had come for the prophecies to be fulfilled of His sacrificial death. His acts and words are left for us to learn from and follow by example. He took that cup of sorrows the Father gave to Him because of the glory it would accomplish in every believer's heart as we accept the Cross. We became His Bride. His purity and righteousness for our sin and filth. What an exchange!! His death meant we could be with Him forever, and He is coming back for us. Meanwhile He had to go to send the Comforter, the Holy Spirit. His death was necessary, but He could have stopped it with a legion of angels. He did it for us at the proper time. Awesome God. Thank you for enduring all of that for me. I love you.

Jesus was prohesying over his life and pronouning what had already been announced by the prophets. he said all this to afirm his destiny although the people he told did not understand him because they had denied him already.

I think he knew what is to be and let it happen because it is the will of the Father.  There was no incitation as he did not incite the jewish leaders to do what they wanted to do.  Any normal human being will not be able to take suffering of this kind therefore God the Father has his own plans to save mankind ... and I thank him for saving us in his name

I think that he wanted them to know that he was aware of what was to come and that he was prepared for it and that he was not afraid.

Jesus had to let them know that life is not easy you must go through trials and tribulations pain and suffering to say this is what I have endured for you this road may be long and hard but you must not give up times may be bad but, don't give up we must feel pain to understand what life, our salvation, our willing to serve the lord is really like spiritual I believe disconnection perhaps I think different maybe someone can give me some insight but, it had to include physical and emotional pain so that we will know what it's really like.

I believe that Jesus was trying let them know that I must leave you but, if I leave I will come back to recieve you so, don't worry to take as much pain and to still love us no matter what is unbelievable. The death of Jesus and the pain he endured for us will never be forgotten a man that is totured will give up maybe I should say some but, remember Jesus never did the feeling of a mother who was about to loose her child is unbearable but she knew this was something he had to do this is what he was sent to do from his father. so when you think about the pain your having think about how much pain Jesus endured for us without complaint I'm sorry his life was ending but, I am very glad he saved me

"Which of these purposes do you believe Jesus accomplished?"
I believed he has accomplished all he set forth to do he died and came back and is still performing mircles first we must realize that for someone to lay down his life for us so, that we may gain eternal life is true love Jesus tolerated so, much that no man can bare never did he turn away from even us even on the cross he said father forgive them for they know not what they do he could have said do away with everybody but, he didn't infact he told one of the theives you shall be with me in paradise even today Jesus is still performing mircles and accomplishing what he said he would do for his people so, if I had to say which purpose I believe Jesus has accomplished I would say all and is still doing who do you think brings us from day to day not man because man will let you down but JESUS will never fail us.

"Was Jesus trying to incite his death (eg. temple cleansing, accusation of leaders?)

Jesus was trying to inform his followers and believers and leaders so that they understand him better and they do not get surprised at the time of his death.

This would also help to assure the public that he was a son of God.
