Why did Jesus´ penalty for "sin" need to include physical and emotional pain - why not just spiritual separation from God?
We will never know, but part may be that Jesus was the sacrificial lamb, and when an animal was sacrificied to God, that animal had physical pain.  Of course, what Jesus went through was much worse - very long and painful.

Because he wanted to feel what mandkind was feeling and for mankind to understand that nothing in this life is a short cut are easy, and for us to know that he could just prove who he really is and they would have to set him free, but instead he take the long road for us to see and know they r no easy way out for us he didnt have to do it but he did it anyway to give us an example to live by.

Jesus, was a man born without sin, living in a world full of sin. As the Son of God, and the sacrifical Lamb He had to feel both the physical pain and the emotional pain of seperation from the Heavenly father that sinners face, daily. If He did not suffer physically and emotional pain than His coming to earth from heaven would have amounted to nothing.

Jesus had to carry all the evils of mankind on Him. He had to feel the pain physically andemotionally because it is only throught that He could clean mankind from our sins and for mankind to see Him suffering will make mankind turn to God. God separated Himself from Jesus because, Jesus had to carry all evils from mankind. He only had to do this for us mankind to be saved and to come closer to our Father who are in heaven. What a blessing!

He was suffering for all of mankinds mistakes. He felt it of the flesh and of the spirit. I believe this way it was known for sure that he was definetly Gods son.

In John 6:54, Jesus states He who feeds on My flesh and drinks My blood has eternal life. I dont understand this meaning, and I thought just by us asking him,and claiming him to be my savior, would get me eternal life?
