Yes, Jesus did feel he had performed enough miracles (signs) to convince the people to follow or listen to Him. However, people were too caught up with worldly things that is why they were not able to hear God's words.

Why did Jesus say, "Let the dead bury their own dead, but you go and announce the Kingdom of God"?
Jesus said this particular statement because He wants us to leave all the rest to Him. He just need our time and devotion for Him. By believing in Him, everything will be in place and in order. Just by believing in Him..
