Christ as the Son of God poured out his blood as God's plan to offer salvation to mankind. The Old Testament passover was a result of God's covenant to the Jewish people. Let my people go!

April 26, 2008 Why was Jesus` crucifixion during Passover - what is the symbolism? (Insight: Exodus - blood on door allowed death to pass).
Jesus is the final sacrifice. Jesus' blood enables all believers to be spared the consequence of sin which is death.
