April 10, 2007 When it is said to ``love the Lord your God``, how is this ``love`` defined?
I ask this because I`m really unsure of the answer. I can relate with the ``love`` for a family member who has been with you for an extended period of time ''e.g. parents, spouse, etc.'' But is this the same kind of ``love`` that God demands from us"
This turns out to be a tougher question than I thought. I would say that to be loved by God, it means the granting of eternal life, and God`s everlasting protection and care, the granting of the Holy Spirit, and God`s acceptance to be one with Him.
My spiritual rebirth occurred more than 5 years ago and have been diligently reading Bible verses since then. I join this course to reaffirm that my understanding of the Scriptures has been correct.
