The Death of Jesus

The mission to sacrifice his life was complete according to the doctrine.  For reasons beyond my understanding they didn't break His legs as the others, however, they did pierce Him in the side for Him to bleed out.  Because He was already dead, He didn't suffer any further.

Now those that witness His death will be able to testify that He did, in fact die, so they were also able to witness the miracle of him rising from the dead.

The Death of Jesus
Jesus cried out because of the shear pain he was in. When he did cry out, rocks split and the earth moved because the level of pain.  It was so severe that all that was within him came out in moved the earth, which we can all see is very powerful  He had been falsely accused and because that hurt him so much, he had to finally cry out.

The Crucifixion
Jesus already know that when He was to be crucified, He was going to be alright.  It was the people that were left behind that had more to worry about.  Him dying meant he was freed from bondage and ridicule from 'claiming' to be the Christ of God.  At first they were believers because of what they saw, but then when He was asked to do other things, they ridiculed Him and says if He is truly the chosen one He will save Himself.  The people didn't realize that the crucifixion was the ultimate price for being the Christ of God.

Was Jesus trying to incite his death (eg. temple cleansing, accusation of leaders?)
I don't think so.  Because He knew that giving his life was the ultimate sacrifice so that the people can live their lives without persecution.  He knew the power of God and what could happen to them if he were to punish them instead.  God alos knew that only Jeus was strong enough to take that kind of torture.
