When Jesus retorted that it is easier for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle than a rich man to inherit the kingdom of God, He meant exactly that the road to destruction is very wide, there are many things that can deviate ones goal away from the target. Few are able to stand firm and sail through with the divine power of the Holy Spirit.

May 23, 2007 Ok for God to pay a denarius across the board.
The first thing is that the denarius belongs to God.Secondly, it is Him who should murmur because He has lost man hours in terms of undone work by the late labourers.Thirdly, He was honoring a mutual agreement that they had entered into with each one of them individually. Fourthly, Jesus was expressing a parable that symbolised the kingdom of God whose remmuneration is eternal life whose value can only be quantified by God Himself. He was more than justified to do what he did.
The disciples didn`t want the children anywhere near Jesus because they had not understood fully what the true mission of this great visitor was.they found the children anuisance especially when it came to serious adults business. They felt that children were more subject to them than any other person especially regarding good manners and interaction. Also matters to do with the kingdom ''earthly'' had everything to do with the adults, therefore, they were also yet to understand the true kingdom that Jesus was for.
May 22, 2007 Why did Jesus tell the young man to sell his property and follow Him?
Jesus told the young man to sell all his property and follow him for the following reason; A mans` thoughts are where his treasures are, therefore, if the man did not let the earthly one go, then he would have had devided attention and thus not able to serve God with all his mind, his heart and all his strength.
