Define "Salvation" ? Note how Zachariah (the father of John the Baptist) praises God for fulfilling an old promise (oath or covenant) that "we...should serve him (God) without fear, In holiness and righteousness before him all the days of our life."
Salvation is provided by Jehovah through Jesus Christ for “all sorts of men.” (1Ti 4:10) He saves them from sin and death (Ro 8:2), from Babylon the Great (Re 18:2, 4), from this world under Satan’s control (Joh 17:16; Col 1:13), and from destruction and everlasting death (Re 7:14-17; 21:3, 4). “A great crowd” is shown at Revelation 7:9, 10 attributing salvation to God and to the Lamb. The ransom sacrifice is the basis for salvation, and as King and everlasting High Priest, Christ Jesus has the authority and power “to save completely those who are approaching God through him.”

Jesus defines a great person as one who serves others. What did Jesus mean when he said he "did not come to be served, but to serve and give his life as a ransom for many."?
Jesus thought love by example using simple ways of humility and never ending forgiveness. All we need do is remove pride from our self’s and serve all brothers and sisters without hesitation. Buy doing this all of us would be extending God’s wishes for his creation to be his children and obey his words. Loving each other removes man’s wants and greed for others belongings.

What point is Jesus making when He states "eternal life" is knowing the Father and Jesus Christ?
"So the Son of Man must be lifted up, that everyone who believes in him may have eternal life. For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him." ( John 3:14-17)

What did Jesus say are some of the characteristics observable in the life of a follower or disciple of Jesus Christ?
Thereupon the disciples came up to Jesus privately and said: “Why is it we could not expel it"” 20 He said to them: “Because of YOUR little faith. For truly I say to YOU, If YOU have faith the size of a mustard grain, YOU will say to this mountain, ‘Transfer from here to there,’ and it will transfer, and nothing will be impossible for YOU.. Matthew 17:19-20
