January 23, 2007 Why didn`t Jesus condemn the woman caught in adultery?
I think, for several reasons. If he had condemned her he would not have been fulfilling his purpose for coming to us, to rescue us from sin and death. Also, the pharisee`s were interested in making accusations about Jesus. He didn`t give them that chance. But, I also think he showed his love for mankind and that his purpose wasn`t to condemn but to restore. He had to deal with the pharisee`s and also prove what he ws here for, to free us not to enslave us. I also think condemnation is really the enemy`s plan, not Christ`s plan for our destiny.
Caring about other people, to an extent that you put them first. simply caring for people in today`s world and having a heartfelt feeling of empathy for people is not something that we see that much of anymore. If you have plenty of money and things and see someone hurting do you stop to help" Even if you don`t have anything you can still help. Just being a friend to people is compassion. Taking time for other peoples needs in day to day life.
And seeing the multitudes, He felt compassion for them, because they were distressed and downcast like sheep without a shepherd. Then He said to His disciples, The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. Therefore beseech the Lord of the harvest to send out workers into His harvest. ''Jesus quoted by Matthew 9:36-38''
