Why did the soldiers mock Jesus?
They were mocking Him because they didn`t believe that He was the King of Kings...

Why did the multitude want Barabbas released rather than Jesus?
I have often wondered how anyone could choose a murderer over Jesus...the only one without sin! And I think it was because their minds were influenced by the devil. I beleive he thought Jesus would die...he didn`t know about God`s plan to ressurect Jesus...that he was in fact God`s son. I think the people were influenced by evil thoughts and the chief priests were also.

What made Peter so afraid to be identified with Jesus? Why are many people today still afraid to identify with Jesus?
I believe he was afraid of the people`s anger...hatred...and he didn`t want to be hurt. I think being afraid of other people`s reactions maybe sometimes make people today also afraid to identify with Jesus...which is wrong...shouldn`t care what others think...Jesus is more important...

Since it was necessary for Jesus to be crucified, why was it still wrong for Judas to betray Him?
He had a choice...and he chose the wrong one...God could have led the Chief Priests to Jesus in another way...and Judas could have asked for forgiveness like Peter did, after he denied the Lord three times, but instead he killed himself. So sad...
