Why did John introduce Jesus as "the Lamb of God"?

He introduced Jesus as the Lamb of God to remind them about what Isaiah had prophesied about the Christ-'like a "lamb" led to the slaughter..'

Also it was an indication of Jesus' mission- to be a sacrifice- the way a lamb was sacrificed for atonement of sin.

"of God " to indicate Jesus' devine origin.

How did John`s testimony prepare people to receive Jesus and His message?

His denial that he was not the Christ made them to still wait /anticipate a Christ- hence, there were no conflict of roles or identity.

-His message was for repentance, and since they accepted their sinfulness and got baptised by John, part of the task-making ready of the people -was accomplished.

Why was sending Jesus to live on earth such an effective way for God to tell people about Himself?

-It was effective because Jesus would experience what the human experience is ,so that as a judge,he would kow what it is to be human.

- he was the only one who had been to heaven, and would be able to tell the world the truth about the father, since he is the one who knew the father personally.

-He practically demonstrated his love for the world- Jn.3;16.

Since the father and the son are one, then  the people could clearly see the attributes of the father in the son.

-God could not achieve the plan for salvation without a human /physical sacrifice, and hence,Jesus had to come in the flesh so that the sacrifice  to seal the covenant between God and Man, which is always sealed in blood ,could be accomplished once and for all.
