In what ways does Jesus provide light to the world?
Later on Jesus will say, you say that I am. Here he testfies for himself. The problem is at the root, that the Jews the Pharisees, without the negative connotation, of the times, held the Scripture rolls the prophecies handed down by word of mouth and did not aknowledge that Mary the carpenter's wife had been nade pregnant by the Light of the Lord descending from above, conceived and given birth preserving her virginity. They did not beleive in that Truth cause they mistrustred those who had been caring for and preserving the purity of that Ark. Her family. Maybe they had discarded those words of Isaiah announcing God making himself man, riding into the day of his Triumph on a donkey, Triumph that would have come via the death of the flesh. In total obeyance to those words that they do not hold as truth. More converted under the cross, still many did not believe in the Resurrection till today, despite the fact that their far ancenstors were testimony to that. I can understand not believing a woman, but why not the disciples who were men" They did not see the Light of obeyance  that shone from the cross as promised.

Why didn`t Jesus condemn the woman caught in adultery?
Looking at it again, i would say badly phrased question. Jesus condemns her by condemning her act, go and sin no more, but he does not inflict her the traditional punishment that would have called for stoning. All the other present were not condemned, not even judged, apart from their own self reflection. If you are without sin, cast the first stone. All found something in ther souls and refrained from throwing the stone. They could have been in her place and weigh acts even carrying a heavier one such as placing themselves above God in placing their judgement above His. And breaking the 2nd Commandment making themselve slaves of their own pride.

How is it that "desiring to do God`s will" results in a person knowing that Jesus` teaching comes from God?
We follow in his steps, take his example If you see me you see the Father and he followed His Commandments. You need to take a sola abridged Bible not to know God's will and teachings. Jesus placed his life in the hands of the Apostles entrusting them all of himself. Go back the annointing line starting from any Catholic bishop today and you get to that seed that died that day. Got to be rooted in Peter too so a schismatic let us say lefbrian risks cutting himselfr out of the original vineyards. You need Peter to do the reinnesto.

What do you think Andrew saw in Jesus that caused Andrew to follow Him and tell Simon about Him?

Jesus showed Andrew his home. Staying means living. Andrew calls him rabbi teacher. How did one become a rabbi in those days" who could become one" when aged 12 Jesus stopped in the temple to discuss with the elderly Pharisees and hooked them with his Knowledge, where had he learned" at home from his faithful parents. Was going to ask whether Joseph was a rabbi. Then it dawned on me that he was not. A well known fact that he was a carpenter. Which makes us think of Noa building the ark and the previous Ark that the Jews were asked to build in ther pilgrimage to the Promised Land. That temple scene strikes like one of those vocational calls in life.
