Jesus was not trying to incite His own death.he simply was fulfilling his duties that he was assigned by his father on earth,

Thanks be to him for accomplishing his work in time before going to heaven .

He demonstrated God's love by showing us the heart of the Lord and healing many, helping many, especially the poor and downtroddened and asking us to do the same.

He was the ulimate bearer of good news since he was the core of the Gospel message.  Jesus, God Son wanted everyone to understand that they could be free of a sinful life if they followed Him.

He demonstrated true sacrafice by dying for each one of us on the cross.  

Most important He ultimately provided a bridge between us and the Lord by His death and resurrection.  There is no other way to heaven but through faith in Jesus.

with all this he managed to perform to the expectations
