What motivated Jesus to heal others?
It is not Jesus' desire to see us suffer.  He healed people who had faith and those who didn't have faith.  By healing sinners, He created belief in Him where there was none before.  He is compassionate and merciful.  He healed to show He was the Son of God and deserves our faith and love and obedience.  Good things happen to those who follow Christ.

Define "Compassion"?
Compassion, to me, is feeling someone's pain as your own and wanting to take it from them so they can be happy.  To do whatever you can to make them feel better.

What did you learn about Jesus` background that stands out or surprises you?
I had never heard before that the people of Jesus' time were superstitious.  That is very interesting.  Also, I learned specifically what celebrating Passover is for.....delivery of Jews from Egyptian slavery.  Finally, that because Passover was celebrated by most in Jerusalem, there were more Jews than normal in the city when Jesus was crusified.
