November 30, 2006 How does being forgiven increase ones love for God? Note: According to Jesus, God`s forgiveness is motivated by love.
Because God has forgiven us, without us earning it ''in other words because of His grace'', we are grateful to God for giving us something we did not deserve. God loved us first while we were still rebellious, and not interested in pleasing Him. His forgiveness wipes out our shame and guilt and we are free to love Him in return. As we love Him, He continues to change us through His Holy Spirit residing in us.
I have been a follower of Jesus for a long time. However, my journey has been one of regularly asking tough questions about God and wrestling with some of the most difficult issues of the Christian Faith. I am interested in interacting with others that are seeking truth about God, both to learn and share what I have learned.
