Does Jesus believe lowly people are valuable? How valuable?
That very question is contradictory by nature. In the eyes of Jesus no one is lowly. That is EXACTLY what he is teaching us in these scriptures. Lowly is how many others not on the side of the Lord see them. He sees them as the people who will first enter the gates of Heaven. They do good and seek Him regardless of the standards that the rest have put on them. They are the most valued because they arent ruled by the evils that others were. They are ruled by Jesus.

Define "Compassion"?
Defining such a thing is no easy task. The meaning that Jesus has brough to this word is something that should be thought of. Its feeling for and what a person is going through. Its taking it onto yourself. It is leveling yourself with them out of love. Jesus has compassion on those who ask Him for help, and we are His so He does just that.
