Why was Peter`s rebuke a stumbling block to Jesus?
Jesus had a mission, he came down for a purpose. To bring salvation to us. He could only do that by giving his life for us. Shedding his blood. Peter's rebuke was a stumbling block to Jesus because he was trying to stop Jesus from fulfilling his fathers commands.

Why do only some choose to accept Jesus and others oppose Him and His followers?
Jesus said you did not  choose me i chose you. So therefore if you have not been chosen to accept Jesus, on your own you will not be able todo so.

Jesus, rebuked the disciples for being fearful. How should they have responsed to the storm?
Jesus himself said to them, in Matthew 8:23. "You of little faith. Jesus wanted them to have faith, and to rebuke the storm. Because somewhere he has said (If you have faith as little as a mustard seed when you say to this mountion move it will). Secondly where can one feel safe if not with Jesus and he was with them.

Why did Jesus first forgive the paralytic`s sins, and only later heal him? What lesson was he trying to communicate?
I think he was showing that to forgive is more important in our walk for salvation than physical sickness. And also sometimes our sickness is due to our sins, so your sins need to be forgiven before you can receive healing.

In what ways does the physical healings performed by Jesus in the path parallel the spiritual healings he performs on people today?
Matt 8:17b "He took our infirmities, and bore our diseases." This saying is as true today as it was in Jesus time. It is the Spirit of the Lord that works today to perform healing on people. During Jesus time he was with the people and  he said himself he has to go before the Holy Spirit will come. So that is what is happening now. The Spirit is here with us and healing all who are sick and demon possessed.
