April 16, 2007 Why did the people ask Jesus to leave their region after they heard about the pigs?
Aren`t we all afraid when we feel or see a change in ourselves or in others" It`s so easy just to leave legion screaming and hurting himself. Just like it`s easy to leave ourselves in our old habits. No matter how hard we try to tie up these habits, they always seem to get the best of us. When Jesus comes and heals and forgives, the people feel vulnerable, and naked without their impurities. So when they see Jesus they just send him away.
April 13, 2007 What is compassion, and do you possess it?
Compassion is a gift which allows us to understand, feel and desire to heal the suffering of others. I do not want to possess compassion, because than i could control it. If i could control it then it would be at the mercy of my temperment.
Being moved with compassion, he stretched out his hand, and touched him... Jesus was moved by compassion. He is controlled by compassion. It is the compassion for others which control the things he say and the things he does.
No i don`t possess compassion but i pray that little to little, the gift of compassion will come and control me.
January 22, 2007 Does Jesus believe lowly people are valuable? How valuable?
Jesus came for the poor, sick, lonely and sad. For he has entrusted the kingdom of God on them. They are so valuable that they can make us see inside of ourselves. For it is them who will be beside God when our time us come to face up to him.
