Blog of G John3:16-17, God send his Son into the world to save the world through him. He loves us so much. He forgave our sins so that we too will forgive others. To forgive is to love. It ties back with our first few lessons on 'compassionate'. Jesus, Son of God came to earth to save us from our sins. Jesus values everyone of us. He didnt distinguish himself from the Samaritans ( For Jews have no dealings with Samaritans ). In John 4:7-9, when Jesus asked the Samaritan woman for a drink, it shows that Jesus values everyone. In Mark 12:41-44, Jesus places attention to the poor widow who put in ALL she owned which says alot about how Jesus value the poor. And lastly in Luke 1:1, Jesus said to invite the poor, the crippled, the lame, the blind, because Jesus values these people. We need to show these people that God loves them. God will never ever leave them. Compassion is a feeling. 1) Jesus felt compassion for multitudes because they were distressed and downcast like sheep without a shepherd 2) Jesus felt compassion for multitude because they have remained with him for three days and have nothing to eat 3) Moved with compassion, Jesus healed the eyes of the blind 4) Moved with compassion, Jesus cleansed a leper 5) Jesus felt compassion for a widow for her only dead son 6) Jesus was deeply moved in spirit, when he saw Mary weeping. Compassion is God's spirit in Jesus who care, help and love others. |
