"Was Jesus trying to incite his death (eg. temple cleansing, accusation of leaders?)
He had to fullfill his destiny, I believe GOD sent him to die for our sins.  I would think that he wouldn't want to do something like that.  It reminds me of when the adultress was about to be stoned, and Jesus says to them, which of u without sin can cast the first stone, and all of them have sinned.  The accusation of the leaders was obviously not to far off.  They wanted him crusified
