February 05, 2008 How does Jesus link intimacy to him with obedience to him?" a "New" commandment?
to be truely intimate with Jesus we must be in constant contact with him through prayer and worship.we must also be aware that he is always with us and treat him as our best friend communicating with him by thought and word. it is also important not to do or say anything we would not want him to hear or see because he is always present and as christians we must try to obey his commands. Jesus knows that as flawed humans we can never be perfect so he measures us by our hearts and the love for him and others that only he can clearly see. Jesus gave us the ultimate unconditional gift and the acceptance of this is the beginning and should be looked at as the foundation of a full relationship with christ which brings with it love and intimacy beyond human comprehension. praise Jesus very name !!

February 01, 2008 "Which of these purposes do you believe Jesus accomplished?"
Jesus accomplished every purpose that he set out to.just as it was written the word became flesh and Jesus demonstrated Gods love in both word and deed,he brought the good news, sacrificed himself in the ultimate way,was and always will be the one and only source of abundant life, and preached the kingdom of god in clear and concise terms with no ambiguities and nothing but the true depth of Gods love. Jesus life is the ultimate gift

January 31, 2008 If you had a one-on-one meal with Jesus, what would you discuss?
Gods unconditional love and the agony that Jesus went through on the cross would have to be the first question.even knowing that many would not accept his free gift of forgiveness, and that even those who did are human(flawed) and so far from perfect his love is so astonishing that our acceptance of him as our saviour and our best efforts of living a christian life are all that he asks. Jesus himself has shown that love and forgiveness cannot exist without each other and that one is an essential part of the other.life with Jesus in his kingdom will answer all questions

January 30, 2008 Why does Jesus call "Love One Another" a "New" commandment?
since God created us all equal and his love for all people is equal then we must remember that the wisest theologan is no different in Gods eyes to a selfish and greedy robber. because we have all sinned and Jesus says all transgressions are equal he is saying that no matter what the sin there are no levels of sinning and once forgiven nobody can say they never sinned as badly as another. through Jesus freely given gift of salvation and eternal life in his kingdom we must forgive others their trespasses as he forgives us from ours.we can never and will never be perfect and free of sin while on earth so we simply must forgive others as we ourselves will constantly need the lords forgiveness.

January 28, 2008 thanks and acceptance of Jesus answers
sometimes we seem to get quick and direct answers to our prayers, while other times we may feel like certain requests are not getting through to the lord. however everything we say, think, feel, and ask for is heard by him but he may feel that the timing is not right or that the request would not suit our needs. the lords timing is perfect and often in retrospect we can see how our prayers have been answered in a way or at a time that was much better suited to our overall needs than we could have ever imagined when we were actually praying about the situation. therefore when we pray we can do so knowing that our prayer will be answered in and when the timing is perfect. thanks Jesus for your patience and wisdom lord.
