Why does Jesus call "Love One Another" a "New" commandment?
I think it is because it the ten commandments given through Moses could be followed without love. For example, someone would respect their parent out of obligation and not out of love. Also the ten 'old' commandments are summarized in this 'new commandment'. And also because it is easier to accomplish all the 'old' commandments with love other than out of obligation.

"According to Jesus, what does it mean to be loved by God?"

According to Jesus, when God lives in you, then you are loved by Him. How do you know that God lives in you" When we accept Him as the only God and His Son Jesus Christ as our saviour, for it's written that Behold I stand at the door and knock, whoever opens, I shall enter and dine with him. Then obeying Him is the other side of the coin for us to show that we really love Him.

Define "Compassion"?

Compassion is a feeling of deep sympathy or kindness towards someone or especially due to a certain situation she/he is in. Or a deep feeling of dislike towards an existing situation in someone's life.

Jesus loved the world
He had the authority to stop His death, but He didn't. He restricted Him self from even much as cursing. He went as far as forgiving the crusfying team.Greater love than that cannot be found anywhere on earth.
