I'm not a scholar but I read that the actual words of the author of Mark in the best and oldest manuscript of Mark 1:40 is "...becoming angry, Jesus stretched out His hand." How would that change your view of Jesus and compassion" Do you think the original Mark said "becoming angry" or "moved with compassion"" Does it matter" How does that fit the the other areas of Mark where Jesus is said to be angry"

January 09, 2008 What I know about Jesus
Jesus is thought to be God. He most likely lived around the time of Pilate as is verified by historians of that time. Since the New Kingdom that he promised to his apocalyptic followers never appeared, his followers came to believe that he actually was raised from the dead. Since this is historically not provable, it appears that his followers started a religion based on what they believed was a real event, namely, the resurrection. I believe Jesus was an apocalyptic prophet who's kingdom never came.
